October 1916, is an assemblage of photopolymer intaglio prints made from copper plate etchings revolving around my grandfather’s rapid decline with dementia. The delicate nature of memory, deterioration, and time’s ability to amplify these changes are common threads within the work. The variables that must be taken into consideration with each image and each piece of copper reflect the care and consideration involved in caring for my grandfather as his mental state is deteriorating.
